BANK OF CHINA PROVIDED LOANS TO ETHIOPIA FOR POWER TRANSMISSION LINE CONSTRUCTION

Ethiopia’s parliament approved a US $250 million loan provided by EIBC (Export-Import Bank of China) Feb. 

7 to support the project of constructing main power transmission line.

The loan agreement has been approved by the Ethiopia People Representing Parliament to aid financially the building of four 400kV transmission line projects in Southern Ethiopia.

The agreement has been signed December in China which was divided to parts: US $195 million will be used to construct the power transmission line and the left to build the transformer substation of the implementing project.
