R2V and RVFV Description
R2V cables (also called XV or RV cables) are rigid non-armoured power and control cables suitable for all low voltage power installations, such as low voltage industrial connections, urban power grids, building installations, etc. They can be inserted into cable ducts or fixed to pipes and walls. Also can be laid underground and use a mechanical protection layer consisting of plates, tiles or bricks.
RVFV cable (also known as XAV cable) is an armored cable with two additional layers of steel tape armor. It is an enhanced version of R2V cable and can be used outdoors, in direct burial installations, or where additional protection against mechanical stress is required.
