Veriflex SY Cable Description
SY cables, also known as armoured flexible control cable, shielded flex, or simply armoured flex, are strong and durable cables suitable for internal dry, damp or wet environments (including oil-water mixtures), and can be used outdoors when protected against direct sunlight. They are also referred to by their constructional reference: YSLYSY cables for the PVC sheathed variation.
PVC jackets can provide additional protection and insulation, and LSZH insulation and jacketing materials are designed to minimize the release of toxic fumes in the event of a fire, making them suitable for applications where fire safety is critical.

Veriflex SY Cable Colour Code
- 2-core: Brown and Blue
- 3-core: Blue, Brown, and Green/Yellow
- 4-core: Blue, Brown, Black, and Green/Yellow
- 5-core: Blue, Brown, Black, Gray, and Green/Yellow
- 6-core and above: Green/Yellow for earth, and remaining cores numbered.
- Numbered cores: Often black with white markings.
- Green/Yellow: Often used for the earth wire in multi-core cables.
