6181XY Cable Description
6181XY cable features a Category 2 copper conductor, a cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) inner insulation layer, and a PVC outer sheath. These fixed wiring cables are often referred to as double-insulated cables because they have two layers of insulation material side-by-side. Compared to the 6181Y cable, the 6181XY can withstand higher temperatures and voltages, making it suitable for more demanding environments.
These cables are suitable for power and lighting circuits, as well as building wiring, and can be used in semi-recessed surface conduits, recessed conduits, and enclosed installations. It is also ideal for internal wiring of household appliances.
