NYM-J and NYM-O Cable Description
NYM cable uses Category 1 solid or Category 2 stranded copper conductors, with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and outer sheath. It is available in two models: NYM-J (with green/yellow cores) and NYM-O (without green/yellow cores – part numbers suffixed with -O).
This cable can be used in dry, damp, and submerged open areas, as well as under plaster, walls, and concrete. However, laying the cable in compacted concrete is not recommended. It should not be installed in direct sunlight unless additional UV protection measures are taken.
