APL Instrumentation Cable Description
APL instrument cables are mechanically protected with an Aluminium Polyethylene Laminate (APL) layer and are available with collective screen (CAM) and both individual and integral screen (ICAM). Unarmoured versions are also available.
These cables typically feature a Class 4 bundled bare copper conductor as the core, usually insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), and an outer sheath composed of polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
