DeviceNet Cable Description
Designed for industrial automation networks, DeviceNet cables are used to connect industrial devices such as sensors and actuators to higher-level devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and PCs.
DeviceNet cables are available in two main configurations. Thick (backbone) cables are used for the main network backbone, transmitting power and data. Thin (drop) cables connect individual devices to the backbone and are typically used for short distances. Thin (drop) cables connect sensors, actuators, and switches to the DeviceNet™ thick (backbone) cables on Allen Bradley DeviceNet™ systems.
