Type 409 Mining Cable

Type 409 Cable Description

Type 409 cable features tinned copper conductors, EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) insulation, and a high-strength polychloroprene rubber (PCP) outer sheath, providing resistance to oil, chemicals, UV radiation, ozone, and flame retardancy. It conforms to Australian/New Zealand standards (AS/NZS 1125:2001 and AS/NZS 2802:2000).

This cable configuration assembles three power conductors on a bracket surrounding a single conductor, primarily providing reinforcement and additional strength, but can also function as a monitoring cable when necessary. It is suitable for powering mobile machinery such as drilling rigs, loaders, and draglines, as well as smaller applications such as hand tools and equipment.
