Type 440 and Type 441 Description
Type 440 cables feature a high-strength polychloroprene rubber (PCP) outer sheath, while Type 441 cables use a chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSP) outer sheath, offering high mechanical impact resistance, water resistance, flame retardancy, UV resistance, ozone resistance, and oil resistance. Furthermore, Type 441 cables have an additional layer of polyamide yarn under the outer sheath for extra reinforcement.
These cables are configured in a 3+3+1 configuration—3 power cores, 3 grounding cores, and 1 indicator core. They comply with Australian and New Zealand standards (AS/NZS 2802: 2000, AS/NZS 1125:2001, and AS/NZS 2802:2003). They can power large mining machinery (loaders, draglines, drilling rigs).
