AAAC Conductor Description
AAAC offers a high strength-to-weight ratio and improved sag performance. It has higher mechanical strength than standard aluminum (AAC) and allows for longer spans. Compared to ACSR (aluminum conductor steel reinforced) conductors, the lack of a steel core provides good conductivity and superior corrosion resistance.
As a result, AAAC conductors are widely used in medium- and high-voltage distribution and transmission lines, particularly in coastal areas or on long-span lines.
