ENW Cable Description
ENW cables are available in 11kV and 33kV versions. The 11kV cable features a three-core construction consisting of three single-core stranded conductors with solid Class 1 aluminum conductors. The 33kV cable uses a single-core, rigidly stranded Class 2 aluminum conductor.
ENW cables utilize aluminum conductors, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, and a metallic shield (copper wire and copper tape). Because they are designed for external installation, typically in cable trays, they are covered with a rugged, abrasion- and tear-resistant MDPE (medium-density polyethylene) sheath.
