Coaxial Cable Description

The “coax” in coaxial cable refers to the geometric axis shared by the outer shield and inner conductor. The cable consists of a center conductor, a concentric layer of insulating material, a conductive shield, and an outer protective jacket.

Coaxial cables offer excellent transmission and reception capabilities, capable of conducting radio frequency (RF) alternating current. They are a popular choice for cable television, broadband Ethernet, and commercial radio transmission.

Coaxial Cable Types

CT Coaxial Cable:

A low-loss coaxial cable, including CT100, CT125, CT167, and other series. Designed for high-frequency signal transmission, especially suitable for digital and satellite TV and closed-circuit television systems.

RG Coaxial Cable:

The number following “RG” refers to the cable’s specifications, such as diameter, dielectric insulation, and shielding. Different RG numbers represent different specifications for different applications. For example, RG-6 is commonly used for home cable TV and internet due to its high-frequency performance; RG-59 is suitable for short-distance, low-frequency transmission; and RG-11 is well-suited for long-distance installations.

It’s suitable for a variety of applications, including low-power video, video signals, and broadband signals. Wire options include plain copper, tinned copper, copper-clad steel, or copper-clad aluminum. Available jackets include pipe-grade PE, PVC, or LSZH.

URM Coaxial Cable:

UniRadio Metric Coaxial Cable, suitable for a variety of applications, including low-power video, video signals, and broadband signals. PVC jacket, copper braid, PE insulation. Bare copper wire.

BT3002 16 Way / 8 Way and RA7000 Equivalent:

All manufactured to British Telecom (BT) specifications.
