J-Y(St)Y Cable Description
JY(ST)Y cable features a plastic-coated aluminum foil shield with a copper grounding wire (St) to protect against electrostatic interference. It is suitable for fixed indoor installations in both dry and damp locations and for protected outdoor areas such as telephone, alarm, and data systems. It can be installed within or under drywall, but not underground or underwater.
Halogen-free flame-retardant versions of this cable are also available: J-H(st)H FRNC and JE-H(st)H FE180-E30. The latter provides 180 minutes of fire resistance and 30 minutes of circuit integrity under fire conditions.
