Cat 7 Cable Description

Cat 7 cables typically feature S/FTP shielding—each pair of conductors is foil-shielded, plus overall braided shielding—effectively preventing crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI). This enables reliable data transmission in harsh environments such as data centers or industrial settings.

Cat 7 cables typically use GG45 connectors but are backward compatible with RJ45, allowing use with older Cat5e/Cat6 ports.
