CAN Bus Cable Description
The CAN bus cable consists of CAN high (CAN_H) and CAN low (CAN_L) lines. Data is transmitted through the voltage difference between these two wires, thus blocking external electromagnetic interference. The standard impedance rating is 100 to 120 ohms to maintain signal integrity. In industrial applications, a purple sheath is typically used; the internal signal wires are usually yellow/green or blue/white, depending on the standard.
