IBM Type 1A Cable Description

IBM Type 1A cables use 22 AWG solid bare copper conductors, each conductor having an independent aluminum foil shield, and are entirely wrapped in a tinned copper braided shield. They can be installed in walls, under floors, in conduits, or in cable ducts. They are commonly used to connect data equipment, legacy local area networks (LANs), and Token Ring hardware.
